Q: What supplies and attire will I need for class?
You should wear comfortable clothes and shoes (no flip flops) to Acting and Voice classes and dancewear and dance shoes (jazz, ballet, or tap accordingly) to Dance class. Our dress code is very relaxed; however each teacher may have specific requests for the dress code of his/her students that he/she will discuss the first day of class. Your teacher will also instruct you on necessary supplies the first day of class.
Q: Where are classes held?
Most classes are held in the Showplace Parlour and on the Surflight Stage, however classes may be held in any space Surflight would regularly use for rehearsal, including the Surflight lobby, Grey House Common Room, Ariel Feldman Rehearsal Platform, Surflight Dressing Rooms, and The Show Place Dance Studio
Q: Do I need to register each semester?
Yes, you will need to register for each semester or session. You will receive a e-registration form from your teacher the second to last week of class. Please fill it out and return it the last week of class.
Q: How will I know if class is cancelled?
If there is inclement weather, you will receive a call from the program director canceling class. For any cancelled classes we will hold a make-up class at the end of the semester.
