10am: Equity female dancers who sing very well
12pm: Equity male dancers who sing very well
2pm: Equity female singers who move
4pm: Equity male singers who move

Surflight Theatre hires a resident company during its summer season of Equity Actors, Non-Equity Professional Actors and Acting Interns (College Age). Housing is provided; both the Theatre and Housing are 1 block from the Atlantic Ocean Beach. We also cast a few Apprentices (non-paid High School students who have housing in the Long Beach Island Area) on a show-by-show basis as required.

In all cases you will be asked to sing a musical theatre song and be prepared to show us a contrasting style if we ask and dance well.

We rarely job in for only one show.

Non-AEA Open Call Auditions 2011

Surflight is looking for a CORE GROUP of non-equity actors and actresses for their productions of RENT and Grease.
Auditions by appointment only will be held in NYC on April 11th.

Kids and Adults needed to play various woodland creatures, members of royalty and other assorted fairy tale characters for Surflight Theatre’s series of children’s shows!

12:00pm – 12:30pm – REGISTRATION (Ages 7 – 15)
12:30pm – 3:00pm – AUDITIONS (Ages 7 – 15)

2:30pm – 3:00pm – REGISTRATION (Ages 16 and up)
3:00pm – 4:30pm – AUDITIONS (Ages 16 and up)

Please prepare to sing one 32-bar selection of an up-tempo musical theatre song. You must bring sheet music in the appropriate key or an accompaniment CD. The audition will also include a reading of a children’s theatre monologue, to be distributed at registration. All applicants are asked to bring a current photo. Auditions will be held at:
