Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is a deposit required to reserve my seats and restaurant?
A: Yes, there is a $200.00 deposit due at the time you sign and return your contract to hold your reservation.

Q: Do I need to get entrée selections from my group before we go to the restaurant?
A: Yes, please get entrée selections from each of your group members and provide the final count information to Ruth no later than one week prior to your show date.

Q: Does our bus driver have to pay for the meal or the show?
A: Surflight provides one complimentary package for groups of 40 or more. You may choose to use the package for your bus driver. Otherwise, please let Ruth know that you would like your bus driver to have a meal. As long as the show is not sold out, the bus driver is welcome to a complimentary ticket in the theatre.

Q: When is the payment for the balance due?
A: Balance payments are due two weeks before your show date. Paying this on time assures you of getting the proper number of seats/meals and helps prevent confusion at the time of the show.

Q: Can I bring more people than listed on my invoice?
A: If you have more people interested than listed on your invoice, please call Ruth immediately to ensure availability in the theatre and restaurant. Many matinees sell out and restaurants are sometimes booked for more than one group.

Q: What if someone in my group can’t come the day of the show?
A: You may change the number of people in your group and your meal selections up to two weeks before the show. No refunds will be made after that time.

Q: Can I use any restaurant I choose?
A: Surflight Theatre’s partner restaurants are listed in the Group Information Brochure. Please confirm your choice with Ruth as it is necessary for us to make a reservation. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about locations, menus and seasonal availability.

Q: My group is coming by motor coach/bus.
Where is the unloading area? Is there parking available?

A: Motor coaches should pull into the designated area next to the theatre facing west on the corner of Engleside Avenue near Beach Avenue. Free parking is available at the Municipal Lot located on Engleside Ave. In most cases, someone will be available to greet your party when you arrive.

Q: Do my group members need to pay extra for soft drinks with the meal?
A: Please see the menu for the restaurant you have chosen to determine what is included in your meal. If an item is not listed on the menu, it will not be included in the package price.
